I am a mother to 4 boys aged 9, 7, 22 months and 6 months. I also work full time for the NHS so my days off are spent concentrating solely on my children, days out and fun activities. I currently have a twin pushchair which allows for a newborn car seat to be clipped on and I love nothing more than a long walk, exploring nature with all of the children.

First Impressions

I was very excited to receive my Snooze Shade which arrived by Royal Mail tracked 2 day delivery postage.

The item itself was well packed, full set of detailed instructions on the cardboard insert which were very easy to follow and took me just a couple of minutes to apply shade to my car seat (Britax Babysafe) and test out all the different options the shade has to offer.

The Snooze Shade seemed to fit my car seat snugly and didnt restrict any part of the seat or handle so usage of the seat would remain the same as if we didn't have the shade on.

Overall first impression. The snooze shade looks to be very well made, presentation was perfect and comes with a little drawstring carry bag to keep the shade safe when not in use which can just be hung on parent handle of the pushchair.

Can't wait to start using it.

The big boys are back at school (YAY, a little less chaotic in the Davies household and back to my much loved routine). It's a sunny day so we've decided to walk to school to collect the big boys.

Jacob didn't seem to mind the new piece of kit on his car seat. The only thing I have to say is, since Jacob is a little bit older and exploring his toys now, we would normally hang a toy from the handle of his car seat so he can have a little play whilst out. We are still able to hang a toy but the window on the shade restricts it a little and Jacob found it hard to reach. It wasn't too much of an issue however because we gave it to him to hold and there wasn't any chance of the toy ending up on the floor as the shades sides would've caught it.

The peep hole zip allowed for a full view of baby and Jacob even found this feature quite amusing!

We only had the mesh shade feature in use during our walk which was brilliant for blocking the sun's rays and irritating Jacobs eyes. Gone are the days of draping a Muslin square over the car seat where the slightest breeze would leave you running down the street frantically chasing your makeshift shade!

Well it's our second week with our Snooze Shade AND I'm very excited to inform you, Jacob actually slept the whole way round our shopping trip! This hasn't happened for a good 4 months, normally I can only get him to sleep in his car seat if we are on a car journey.

A combination of noise and light has prevented Jacob from having a snooze during shopping since he was about 3 months old. The snooze shade is just a wonderful invention, it was lovely to be able to get my shopping done whilst Jacob slept and when arriving back home he was nice and refreshed instead of the usual grumpy tired cry we've become so accustomed to! I guess the shade also blocked out an element of noise too which I'm sure helped with the miracle of a supermarket nap!

VERY happy mummy!
