After 2 and a half weeks of suspense, we've now heard from Sue Radford again! We are thrilled to hear that baby number 18 is doing well, and we are all very excited for her arrival!
"It's been a little while since I've done an update on baby #18 pregnancy... I'm now just over 27 weeks and into my 3rd and final trimester - Whoooo! It feels good to be able to say that :-) I feel like I'm expanding loads, and my bump is in competition with my bum! I always think in my pregnancies with the girls, I always seem to put more weight on around my thighs and bum (probably due to all the chocolate and cream cakes - haha!) Although I do have a brilliant excuse to pig out on junk food, I have only gained 1 stone 9lb - which I don't think is too bad. I really feel like in these past two weeks she's put quite a bit of weight on, and my back is starting to ache a bit. She's doing really well, growing nicely and everything is progressing as it should.
I still have very anxious days... Sunday morning was one of those days when I woke up to no movement from her and she hadn't woken me during the night. This was when I panicked and got the Doppler out, I haven't used it in months. I just haven't felt the need to, but as soon as I put it on she woke and and started moving like crazy - the little monkey!
I have also found I'm still managing to get a brilliant night's sleep. Which for me is unusual because in every pregnancy I've had I get awful restless legs from around 22 weeks. So far though, I dont seem to be suffering. I'm wondering if it's got something to do with the higher folic acid I'm on and the asprin, but who knows? You watch, now that I've said that, in my next update it will have started!
We've also been busy getting all the things we need for her. We've finally finished her nursery and I have to say it's looking gorgeous! I just want to go and sit in it. It's making me even more excited for her arrival in just over 10 weeks time! Eeeeek! We still need to get a co-sleeping crib for our bedroom and I just need a changing bag and bouncy chair then we are all ready.
I love how excited the children are about their baby sister! They love watching her kicking and Casper is always coming and giving her a kiss and cuddle and saying "aww, baby" - It's heart melting! The other night I was laid on the sofa with Tillie and Max and it was so funny. Tillie is obsessed with watching her kicking and she just sits prodding my belly to get her to kick. Max and Tillie find this hilarious and when she stops to try and go to sleep they start again to wake her up. They are definitely getting her into practice for living in a big family. She is going to be so spoilt with love bless her :-)
I also have my 28 week consultant appointment next week and then that weekend we have our 4D scan at 'Take A Peek'. We can't wait to see her again and see who she looks like and her little features. We will post some pics of her for you to see in my next update.
We have a very busy weekend planned this weekend as it's my birthday - the big 4-0! I have no idea what they all have planned for me but there's lots of whispering going on and we also start the filming for our new programme, so it's set to be a fun-packed, busy weekend!"
