First Impressions
We received the 'Glo-Light' on Saturday 1st March and thought the packaging was quite appealing. I liked how the packaging was not too complicated.
From reading the instructions I thought that the 'Glo-Light' can't be as easy as this to install but it really was. Using the 'Glo-Light' is as easy as switching on a light which I love, and is also easy for all the family to use (even my husband).
We decided to put the light in the hall at the top of the stairs which is also outside my 2year old sons room.

So a week has passed and I wish that I had more of these lights. I am planning to buy some for when my next baby comes along to put into my bed side light for those night feeds.
This week past my son was a little unwell (suspected chicken pox) but got better quickly which allowed my husband and I to see to him without much fussing around with lights and waking the rest of the house up.

So I am used to the light already and don't know what I would do without it. My son who is 22 months had started potty training when I had received the light and we have had very few nights with wet nappies as he is waking for the potty. The glo light is enabling us to put him on the potty without fully waking him so that he will go back into bed and sleep straight away. Next step for us as parents is to put him in a big boy bed and then I would move the light into his room rather than in the hallway. Or maybe get another one. Still since the lay out of my home is not ideal for having small children another light has to go on in the stairway for toilet trips for our 6year old and myself! Mostly we are not disturbing each other but our daughter is still afraid. We hope this phase will be over soon!!!!

This week I put the light in my sons room instead if using this in the hall and had it turned to minimum light but we found that our son was more disturbed in his sleep. We don't know if this is for any other reason. Maybe his room is too small for all that light as it's surprisingly powerful even on the lowest setting. This week it's going to the top of the stairs and we shall see if this helps with night time trips to the toilet for our 6year old and pregnant self.
After trying a few different rooms and places in those rooms I find that the light belongs best in my hall at the top of the stairs on the lowest setting most of the time unless we have restless children then I turn the intensity up slightly for better multiple trips back and fourth to bed and toilets. I am curious how I would use it when the next baby comes along in 6 weeks. Night feeds yet again...
