If you’re pregnant and you haven’t heard of Project-B, you soon will! It’s a wellbeing subscription box, specifically designed for mums-to-be. In a nutshell, it’s one box, every month with products and expert advice to nurture the pregnancy journey. You can check it out for yourself at www.project-b.com. Since its launch in summer 2013, Project-B is now sending out hundreds of boxes every month and has nearly 11,000 fans on Facebook.
Costing just £14 per month (including p&p), Project-B can be bought as a monthly treat or a one-off gift. There are seven boxes in total, each with a different theme to match a stage of pregnancy, such as Energise (20-24 weeks of pregnancy), Relax (25-29 weeks), Prepare (30-34 weeks) and Nest (35-39 weeks) to name but a few.
Here we interview the Founder of Project-B, Amber Bamford, who explains why she launched the brand and everything she has in store for 2014 and beyond! Amber says:
"After many years working in the baby industry, my own pregnancy journey made me think how I would love to offer something that is for mum, but benefits baby too. I wanted to combine my passion for baby and beauty products with my desire to offer information and advice which would help mums–to-be through what is the most exciting and emotive experience. Pregnancy is also a time to try new things and Project-B offers the chance to cost-effectively do that. Plus, you can tell companies exactly what you think on a platform they are really listening to.
Launching from nothing, we now have 49 brands on board – and in fact, there is now a waiting list for brands to be included! And whilst we have many household names included we also welcome smaller brands to ensure our mums-to-be have a good cross-section of products to experience during their exciting time.
In addition to the boxes, we work hard to be an independent and impartial source of information for mums-to-be. This includes an ever-growing panel of pregnancy experts offering advice. We are particularly proud to have One Born Every Minute’s Gemma Raby as our resident midwife, running monthly Ask The Midwife Facebook Q&As which are extremely popular. But we also have a number of other brilliant people who are experts in their field, such as pre and post natal fitness expert Dr Joanna Helcke and baby shopping expert Liat Hughes Joshi.
Subscribers can log in to rate and review their products, and that feedback is given back to the brands, so they are listening to what our mums have to say.
Overall, I am thrilled that Project-B has been so well received by both mums-to-be and the brands out there – the feedback has been amazing, and we have so many exciting plans ahead, including linking with two really fantastic charities, I know that Project-B is set to be THE pregnancy resource for mums across the UK."
