Had a broken nights sleep? Woken early by a crying baby? Then you need an energy boost right? Why not try an energy boosting smoothie for breakfast? Not only is it delicious and healthy but it will give you the kick start you need to face the day.
Ingredients
· 1 avocado
· 2 handfuls each of three of the following fruits – you choose! Raspberries,
strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, cranberries, loganberries
· 200ml orange juice
· 2 bananas
· 1 tablespoon of linseed or flaxseed
Simply pop everything into a blender, and whizz it up until smooth. You can change it up every morning by changing the fruits you use – you could even try something different from the list – maybe fresh apricots or some tomato for a change?
It also makes a great healthy drink or tasty snack for little ones too – I tend to leave out the linseed for them, and make it all about the fruit. You can add a splash of milk to make it extra tasty for children.
