The Paternity Bag from Bababing is designed with Dad's in mind but is a bag that women would be just as happy to carry - it comes in a choice of black or grey (I love the grey!). It is well thought out and practical in every sense - inside there is an abundance of pockets to keep everything safe and sound. I love the large pocket in the base to put dirty nappies or wet clothes in in order to keep it well away from everything else. The changing mat is large and keep in it's own pocket - another factor I love about this bag. It's well made and durable - I should know as I used one for 5 years and was still going strong. If you want a bag which will last and one which has no pretty flowers in sight, then this is really worth considering. At £65.00 I think it offers good value for money.
I can see what the company have tried to do with this bag, it is quite compact so seems like you have less to carry. There is plenty of pocket space and I love that it has little pen holders in the back and that there are little labelled symbols to show you where each individual item goes, however once you have two bottles, food, nappies, wipes, mummy things in it there really isn't that much space left for clothes. I took this bag on the bus and found that It was also quite heavy when you have a baby and the bag to carry. I also don't like that the mobile phone and coin compartment is on the strap as it could be easily removed.
The idea of the bag is great, being suitable for both mums and dads. I love the intergrated changing mat, a clever concept that should leave more room inside of the bag for other essentials. It's easy to use with a wide strap that's simple to adjust and big chunky zips make for quick opening and fastening. However I feel there are some things that let it down.To me they seem to have focused on it being suitable for dads, it looks more like a laptop bag than a changing bag which for me, makes it less desirable. And even though they have put the changing mat on the outside of the bag, there isn't much room inside for a lot of items. I personally wouldn't purchase it.
