Hi, I'm Tiffany, I'm 27 and live in Hertfordshire with my husband Paul, we met 11 years ago and got married in 2012. We have 2 girls, Rose and Ivy. Rose is going to be 5 in June, started school back in September and has developed a knack for challenging everything with why's, how's and when's! Ivy is 10 weeks old and arrived just before Christmas (perfect present for her big sister!) She's a little more demanding than her big sister was; doesn't like sleeping and prefers to feed little and often! When I'm not busy at home being a mummy (or on maternity leave) I'm an events coordinator at a hotel nearby and I find 2 children a lot more challenging than the demanding brides I work with, but I wouldn't change it for anything!

First Impressions

We have just received our Grolight from The Gro Company. We already have some other gro products so we recognised the branding instantly as a brand we know and trust.
If you don't already know about the Grolight it isn't that obvious from the first glimpse what it does so you would probably have to have a read of the box if you came across it in the shops. From the outer packaging I thought the light could only be used in a main ceiling light but was really pleased on reading the instructions to find that it can also be used in a lamp.
It has clear instructions and is really easy to fit and use. We have decided to try it first in our bedside lamp as the less getting out of bed for me the better! It only fits bayonet light fittings so a screw fitting lamp wouldn't work.
I'm really looking forward to using it tonight and hope that we notice a difference from the room being kept darker during the night feeds!

So we've just had our first few nights using the Grolight.
We're using it for night time feeding / changing and it's definitely helping. It's really easy to use (even half asleep) and so far I haven't woken my other half up whilst using it and have been able to see exactly what I'm doing and where I'm going.
It has a dial that allows you to turn the night light up or down. We have got it on full as when it's dim it didn't make much difference to no lights. If you were using it as a night light for a child's bedroom though, I imagine the dim setting would be ok.

We've had a great week with the Grolight as we've gone back to feeding every 2 hours!!
The nightlight (when on full) perfectly gives me enough light to see what I'm doing without making baby think that it's playtime!
My husband gets up for work at 4am and he has even started using it whilst getting ready so he doesn't disturb us!
It would also be a great light to have in your bathroom for taking littlies to the loo in the middle of the night.

Had a very poorly 4 year old this week and we were up most of / nights on the trot. We decided to put the Grolight in her main ceiling light to make getting in and out of bed easier for her.
It was a massive help as it's dark enough to sleep with on but light enough to check whether she was ok.
As it's as simple to change a lightbulb it is easy to move it about if needed. We are going to try some different places with it over the next few weeks.
