Babymule has become a well-respected change bag company since it began in 2009. Designed by Claire Fuller to meet her own needs and expectations in a change bag, the Babymule features great functionality, whilst still being very attractive and has been a must for parents travelling and spending time outdoors. The Pegasus change bag is Babymule’s latest product to hit the market and here we give our review.

The Product
The Babymule Pegasus bag claims to be ‘big, bold and beautiful’ and it certainly lives up to this claim. A decent sized tote style messenger bag it has 3 ways to carry – either by adjustable shoulder strap, carry handles (that neatly tuck away when not being used) or clipped to your pushchair with the pull out buggy clips (which again tuck away when not in use).
The 100% cotton canvas fabric is soft yet sturdy with a great modern feel. The bag has two large and easy to access main compartments, providing plenty of room for all your items – there is also a zipped side pocket with invaluable internal key/phone storage sleeve, plus two further outer pockets for additional storage. My only 'niggle' here (and it's only a niggle) is that it doesn't close completely at the top. The sides are secured with a magnetic popper and whilst secure enough, I would be concerned that in a down-pour the contents could get wet. Personally I like the security of a zip to keep prying hands from siblings (and strangers) out!
To save your contents moving around within the bag, the Pegasus has an internal mesh pocket to store your bottle upright within its neoprene insulator, plus a handy popper to secure the nappy pouch within the bag. The nappy pouch itself has a handy grab handle & a wipe clean lining and stored within the nappy pouch is a neatly folded padded changing mat that is machine washable – a huge bonus I think for thorough cleaning of inevitable accidents!
Speaking of accidents, there is also a wipe clean wet bag with zip closure to securely store any mess whilst on the move!
The Pegasus bag claims to have been designed to ‘last throughout the years’ and it certainly does seem as though it would – the strong, sturdy cotton canvas with secure stitching does indeed instil you with confidence that this is a product made to last and endure.

Babymule Pegasus Changing Bag Conclusion
The Babymule Pegasus Change Bag lives up to the company’s reputation and would be a great investment for any parent, particularly those out and about on a regular basis. Its practicality and versatility doesn’t detract from it being a cool, modern design, with attention to detail in the design for everyday use. The colour options are bold and simple whilst the manufacturing quality is clearly made to last. The cost may seem a little steep for some at £65, but this bag represents a great investment; it can be used throughout the years, even after the change bag features are no longer needed. The storage capacity is ideal, with the inclusion of a secure zipped parent pocket for your own valuables. I find the 3 way carrying options to be a huge bonus, not being a fan of carrying bulky bags on my shoulder, the carry handle and buggy clips are ideal for me and it’s great that parents have the choice with this bag as to which carrying option suits them at the time.
The only negatives for this bag are the lack of waterproofing, particularly as it is aimed for practicality when out and about, and the main opening isn’t overly secure with only a one popper fastening as opposed to a full zip. But we do like it - and it has caused some 'bag-envy' in the office this week!
We give the Babymule Pegasus Changing Bag 4 out of 5 stars
