From night feeds to children who are toilet training or just getting up during the night, a night light is an important feature to most bedrooms. Allowing them to see what they are doing, it still needs to be dim enough not to fully wake them. Lindam have been delivering safety products to parents for over 25 years and most people will have seen their stair gates, bed rails and travel accessories. This time we are taking a look at their Lindam Light My Way Night Light. In a cute owl design, the night light will look great in any nursery and can be used standalone or carried by your child.

Lindam Light My Way Night Light - The Material

The Lindam Light My Way Night Light is made from a plastic mould in the shape of an owl. The design is on trend with current children fashions and has a lovely friendly face. My two year old loves the fact that an animal lights up and was instantly drawn to it, wanting to carry it around with him. The owls ‘ears’ come together to create a little handle at the top of the light, making it easily transportable. This is a lovely idea to make it accessible to the child and as it is cordless it can be taken anywhere in the house.

The plastic itself seems very sturdy and would cope with being dropped numerous times without being affected!

With a cool touch bulb, it can be placed anywhere in the room, without getting too hot. If your child wishes, they could even hold it in their bed until drifting off.

Using the Lindam Light My Way Night Light

Using the Light My Way Night Light couldn’t be easier. It only has one button - press it to turn on, press it again to turn off. The button is on the underneath of the light and quite small in its recess. Even though my two year old son has little fingers, he struggled to turn the light on at first. Once turned on, the light has a 20 minute timer, which automatically shuts off after this period. This should be enough time for most children to fall asleep, though some children may be disturbed when it shuts off and need extra time. The timer conserves the battery power and Lindam advise that it could last up to 120 hours! We have been using the light daily for quite a while now and there is no sign that it will need new batteries any time soon.

Babies and children often need some kind of light to go to sleep. Night lights can offer a subtle glow to help parents creep out of the room without standing on a squeaky toy or having a piece of Lego lodged in to their foot. This night light is bright enough so that you can see what you are doing, but without being too bright to disturb a child and prevent them from sleeping. We found the glow to be very soft and warm.

Lindam Light My Way Night Light - Special Features

The fact that it is cordless and has a little handle means that the Lindam My Carry Night Light is transportable. It features a cool touch bulb, so there is no worry of it getting too hot to touch and burn your little ones fingers. The design is lovely and nice for the child to relate to an animal rather than it just being a light.

Lindam Light My Way Night Light Conclusion

The Lindam Light My Way Night Light has been very popular in our house! My son loves to take it to bed with him, as well as carrying it around the house during the day. Although it can be tricky for him to use the power button, he does now turn it on himself.

I am also a fan of the owl design, and think it is a lovely addition to any nursery or bedroom. It isn’t instantly recognizable as a night light, and could be mistaken for a toy or decoration. The light brightness is just right and allows enough light to see what you need to, without distracting the child.

It is great to use from birth right through to potty training with a toddler, so great value for money at less than £10. You will definitely get your moneys use out of it. With the batteries lasting so long, they will rarely need changing. This is helped by the power saving 20 minute timer. For us, this has been just about the right time needed, but some children may need a longer period before falling asleep. It is handy that you can rely on the night light to shut off, without needing to go back in and turn off.

We give the Lindam Light My Way Night Light 4.5 out of 5 stars
