I have used the Clair De Lune Universal Car Seat Footmuff with my Britax SHR II. It took about 10 minutes from opening the packaging to install the footmuff onto the car seat. This was mainly because the width of the buckles was slightly wider than the holes to feed them through. I had to take out the anchor points from the base of the seat rather than just feed through the straps themselves.
At first I thought that there was going to be a space issue as my car seat has a built-in head support that may have made the head room a little narrow but this wasn't the case. There is just enough plush, fleece, padding to cushion the baby but not too much to make the car seat too small.
The liner was lovely and soft and just the type of place you'd be happy to put a small baby into. The fact that the front apron is removable is fabulous, it can be removed on warmer days to just become a comfortable liner for baby. I also love that the apron is shower proof as the weather in the UK is often unpredictable and it covers those quick dashes to and from the car, house or shop when putting on the raincover would just take too long.
The elastic strap on the top of the liner is simply genius. I have experience of other liners that flop forwards every time baby is taken out and it gets very irritating so that strap gets a massive thumbs up in my opinion. I love the look of the footmuff too. It makes the seat look so much bigger and more inviting and it comes in a good selection of colours.
I do think that I won't be able to use it for as long as I'd like to, due to the built-in head support on my seat making head room for a growing baby a bit of an issue. A shame really as I really do like having it in there and it's not the fault of the liner itself that I'd have to take it out. This obviously wouldn't be an issue at all in different car seats.
Overall, I think it's a fantastic product that eliminates the need for a thousand blankets on a chilly day and I've loved using it.
