Having a baby is expensive – we all know that. So researchers at Which? have come up with a list of non-essentials – things you can do without, items that parents have said are the least useful – and the list could save you £275!

So just what are the top 10 least useful baby products?

1.       Door baby bouncer
2.       Baby washing bowls
3.       Manual breast pump
4.       Baby hammock
5.       Fabric sling
6.       Nappy stacker
7.       Foam baby seat
8.       Cot mobile
9.       Swaddling blanket
10.     Nappy disposal bin

On the flip side, there were some products that parents said they just couldn’t live without – and it seems safety is top of the agenda. Stair gates, baby monitors, digital ear thermometers, baby sleeping bags and electric steam sterilisers all got the parental thumbs up as the useful things to have around the house.

So do you agree? Did you buy any of the items on the list and find that they ended up gathering dust at the back of the cupboard? Or do you disagree, and have some of these items which you use regularly? We would love to know what you found useful, and what things you can really do without.
